Timacuan is on the northeast side of Orlando in Lake Mary off either Lake Mary Blvd or Rt 46 to the east.

The golf course wanders through an upscale residential community with homes along most every fairway. The front side is over some rolling terrain and somewhat unique to Florida while the back is more traditional winding through wetlands and lakes. A few of the holes on the front side resemble Scottish links style with the fairway mounding, pot bunkers, and the ability to run the ball to the green. #2 is one of the most difficult par 4s you will ever play with placement required on the drive to an island fairway, then a 150-180 yard shot over water to a well guarded green. From the tips it's 7,047 yards with a 71.1/127, course/slope ratings, the middle tees are 6,001 yards, 69.1/120, course/slope, designed by Ron Garl.
