Timber Creek is in a massive Del Webb Sun City residential development off I-80 at the Johnson Expressway to Blue Oaks Blvd with Sierra Pines, a nine-hole executive course, and the Lakes/Oaks, an eighteen-hole championship layout.

The Championship layout is a parkland-style design through the homesites with water features in play on five holes and sand bunkers scattered along the fairways and defend the greens. There are four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,510 yards, 71.1/126, course/slope ratings, and a Billy Casper/Greg Nash design.
