The University of New Mexico Championship course is between the airport and I-25, just off exit 221 to the east.

The golf course provides an interesting layout as it journeys over rolling terrain and is mostly wide open off the tee. It's a desert layout bordered by scattered trees and waste areas, with water in play on a couple of holes and sand bunkers around the greens and a few fairways. There are six sets of tee boxes overall, and from the White tees, it's 6,532-yards, 70.5/126, course/slope ratings, designed by Red Lawrence in 1967.
