Warrior Golf Club is only 20 minutes from the Lake Norman area on Lake Wright Road, off Highway 152, just west of China Grove.

The golf course is a parkland-style layout over rolling hills with thick tree-lined fairways wide enough off the tee but narrow on approach to the greens. There are numerous water hazards in play, including Lake Wright, which borders six holes and about 40 sand bunkers, mostly around the greens. It's a par 71, and plays from 4,400 yards to 6,609 yards, 71.5/127, course/slope ratings from the back tees, designed by Stan Gentry.
