Woodland Hills is on the north side of Des Moines off I-35 at 66th Avenue slightly to the west.

It's a straightforward, parkland layout traversing fairways dotted with mature hardwoods over level topography and small, round greens as targets. Six of the fairways are lined by homes, the balance by parallel fairways or woods. There's absolutely no sand bunkers, but water is in play on a couple of holes. It's short at 5,834 yards, 67.9/115, course/slope rating off the back tees.
