Copper Creek is located just off of East University Avenue in Pleasant Hill in East Des Moines.

The layout is a parkland style course through a residential community over rolling hills with a mix of narrow and broad, tree lined fairways and sand bunkers scattered about the fairways and greens. The course is relatively short at 6,338 yards from the back tees, 70.4/119, course/slope ratings and two shorter tee boxes, designed by Gordon Cunningham in 1997.
