Amsterdam Municipal is off the NY Thruway at the Amsterdam exit Rt 30, then north through town to Golf Course Road to Van Dyke.

The golf course is one of Robert Trent Jones Sr's first designs from the 1930s. It has an interesting layout over rolling hills along tree-lined fairways with a blend of broad and narrow corridors. It's generally straightforward, save for a few minor doglegs, and it sparingly uses water hazards and sand traps. There are three sets of tees overall, with the middle White tees at 6,324 yards, 72.3/113 course/slope ratings.
