Apple Greens is just off the NY Thruway at exit 18 near Poughkeepsie, about 1 1/2 hours from the city, and is surrounded by forests and wetlands.

There are twenty-seven holes meandering through an apple orchard along rolling, tree-lined fairways with views of the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains and the Mohonk Tower in the Hudson Valley. There's water in play on 15 holes along, OB on six holes, and a modest amount of sand in play along the fairways and guarding the greens. There are four sets of tees, from the tips #1&2 play to 6,679 yards, 72.1/113, course/slope ratings; #2&3-6,345 yards, 71.8/130; #1&3-6,587 yards, 72.9/131, with three shorter tees, designed by John Magaletta
