Apple Greens is just off the NY Thruway at exit 18 near Poughkeepsie about 1 1/2 hours from the city surrounded by forests and wetlands.

There's twenty-seven holes meandering through a apple orchard along rolling, tree lined fairways with views of the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains and the Mohonk Tower in the Hudson Valley. There's water in play on 15 holes along, OB on six holes, and a modest amount of sand in play along the fairways and guarding the greens.
