Ballston Spa Country Club is 10 minutes south of Saratoga Springs on the west side of Ballston Spa.

The course is a compact, traditional layout from the 1920s meandering along tree lined fairways with Gordon Creek traversing the layout from east to west in addition to several ponds and wetlands. It's a shot maker's layout with narrow fairway corridors leading the modest, oval greens many of which are defended by sand traps. It was designed by James Thompson with later design work by Gino Turchi and Armand Farina and is only 6,310 yards from the blues, 70.3/127, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
