Bayside is south of Bethany Beach off Lighthouse Road west of Fenwick Island and part of an upscale, residential and resort community in a setting with views of Assawoman Bay from a few holes.

The golf course flows through an overall scenic setting with a variety of holes through pine tree lined fairways, along the marshes and wetlands, and to open, links-style holes in the meadows with water in play on nearly every hole. The layout was designed by Jack Nicklaus and features a liberal amount of sand traps along the landing areas and surrounding the large, undulating greens. It plays to 7,545 yards from the tips, 76.4/148, course/slope ratings, the middle tees play to 6,418 yards, 71.4/139, course/slope ratings.
