Cascades is off I-94 at Exit 138 south into Jackson adjoining the Sharps County Park.

The golf course is a classic layout over rolling terrain along tree-lined fairways with a moderate amount of sand traps and a stream impacting play on numerous holes. It can play to 6,651 yards, 73.0/136, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees. The park and golf course were the inspiration of William Sparks, an English immigrant and ultimately successful businessman who commissioned Tom Bendelow to design an 18-hole golf course in 1929.
