Crystal Springs is located just 30 minutes south of San Francisco in Burlingame bordering I-280 just north of exit 36.

Crystal Springs has an interesting layout in a scenic setting as it's routed over rolling hills adjoining a wildlife sanctuary above the Crystal Springs reservoir. Drives to narrow fairways are influenced by the slope of the hills are easily pushed off line. The par 5's may be reachable in two, and one of the par 4's is only 298 yards and potentially drivable. There's not much water or sand in play providing a very playable golf course. It plays to 6,628 yards from the back tees, 72.3/124, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees. It was designed by Scottish golf course architect William Herbert Fowler in 1924 with redesign work by William F. Bell and Robert Muir Graves.
