English Turn is southeast of downtown New Orleans off River Road within an upscale, residential development.

The golf course is a challenging, shot maker's layout with water in play on every hole along mounded fairways with conventional, pot, long, and waste bunkers along the fairways and bordering the generous, sloped, and tiered greens. It was a PGA Tour stop for years, and from the tips is 7,078 yards, 74.6/140, course/slope ratings, the Blue tees are 6,492 yards, 71.5/130, course/slope ratings, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
