South Hampton is on the south side of Jacksonville off I-95 at County Highway 210.

The golf course meanders through a residential community along broad fairways bordered by forests and wetlands. It's mostly wide open off the tee but is littered with 16 water hazards and a generous amount of sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the ample greensites. It's 7,028 yards from the tips, 74.0/138, course/slope ratings, the blue tees play to 6,077 yards, 69.6/125, designed by Mark McCumber.
