The Landings at Spirit is 30 miles west of downtown St. Louis in Chesterfield, between the bluffs of the Missouri River and the Spirit of St. Louis Airport.

The level layout has a links feel to it, with scattered trees along wide open, mounded fairways bordered by pot and conventional sand bunkers leading to multi-tiered double greens with wild natural areas at the borders. Overall, there are five sets of tees, with the Harrier tees at 6,406 yards, 69.6/114, course/slope ratings, designed by Roger Null.
