McCullough's is located west of Atlantic City near Egg Harbor on the Jersey Shore just a few minutes off the Garden State at Exit 29 Somers Point or Exit 36 if coming from the north.

The golf course was built on a former landfill with a variety of holes reminiscent of many notable Scottish and Irish links holes, one of which is a re-creation at #16 of Troon's "Postage Stamp" as a nod to its links golf heritage. Save for water hazards on 6 holes, it is a fair rendition of "links" golf as it's virtually treeless with heather covered mounds and flows along uneven fairways with the wind in play at all times. There's the requisite blind shots, the oddly placed pot bunker, and greens which are approachable and accepting of the bump n' run shot. The course was designed by Stephen Kay in 2002 and measures 6,535 yards, 71.7/130, course/slope ratings from the back tees with four shorter tees.
