The Seaview Resort is located just north of Atlantic City in Absecon on Reeds Bay with two 18-hole layouts.
Both courses are classics. The Bay Course is a Donald Ross redesign of Hugh Wilson's original layout from the early 1900s, which was restored by Bob Cupp. It's a challenging layout, and typical of the early designs, demands accuracy around the greens with pot and conventional sand bunkers and crowned greens leading to collection areas. It's more open and linksy than the Pines course, with tall native grasses and a scattering of trees bordering the fairways. It is short, though, from the back tees at 6,247 yards, 69.5/120, and course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
The Pines course is carved through the pine barrens and is where, in 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship. The layout tours narrow, pine tree-lined fairways along numerous doglegs with a liberal amount of sand bunkers and natural waste areas along the landing zones and guarding the small greens. It was designed by Toomey and Flynn and, from the tips is 6,731 yards, 71.7/138, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
