Pinecrest is a Park District course located west of Chicago in Huntley off I-90 to the IL 47 exit then north through town to Algonquin.

The golf course is between a couple of residential communities with homes bordering the exterior holes. It's a straightforward layout along tree-lined fairways with five lakes affecting play on numerous holes, and various shapes and sizes of sand bunkers litter the fairways and guard the greens. It was designed by Ted Lock and, from the tips, plays to 6,636 yards, 71.5/123, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
