Pinecrest is a Park District course located west of Chicago in Huntley off I-90 to the IL 47 exit then north through town to Algonquin.

The golf course is situated between a couple of residential communities with homes bordering the exterior holes. It's a straightforward layout along tree lined fairways with five lakes affecting play on numerous holes and a variety of shapes and sizes of sand bunkers littering the fairways and guarding the greens. It was designed by Ted Lock and from the tips plays to 6,636 yards, 71.5/123, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
