Prairie Falls is in Post Falls off I-90 at the Spokane Street exit to the north partially within a residential development.

The golf course is a parkland layout roving along tree lined fairways over rolling terrain. The fairways are broad enough off the tee along several slight doglegs with two ponds impacting play and sand bunkers positioned along some of the fairways and greens. There's three sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,229 yards, 69.0/123, course/slope ratings, designed by Mark Rathert.
