Royal Lakes is between Gainesville and Braselton just off I-85 to the south at exit 17.

The golf course wanders through a residential community along narrow, tree lined fairway corridors. It features numerous doglegs, water hazards in play on seven holes including an island green, and a variety of shapes and sizes of sand traps primarily defending the greens. The golf course was designed by Arthur Davis with five sets of tees and the middle tees playing to 6,210 yards, 70.4/127, course/slope ratings.
