Spook Rock is a municipal golf course about an hour from the city off I-287, west of the Tappen Zee Bridge, at exit 148 in Suffern.

It is a classic parkland layout, with every fairway lined by trees, with a generous amount of sand bunkers along the fairways and greens, and several holes where water's in play. There are four sets of tees, and from the tips, it can play to 6,806 yards, 72.9/139, course/slope ratings. It was designed by Frank Duane in 1967 with redesign work by Steven Kay.
