The Tournament Players Club of Louisiana is located just south of downtown New Orleans across the river off Lapalco Blvd in Avondale.

The course is struts along a large, natural tract of land surrounded by canals on three sides over undulating fairways lined with stands of cypress trees and natural mitigation areas. The course has five ponds or lakes in play and 103 sand bunkers, 69 of which are pot bunkers. It plays to 7,399-yards, par-72, 76.7/136, course/slope from the professional tees but with four shorter tees, designed by Pete Dye.
