Tradition is Treetop's homage to the game's origin as a walking only layout with wooden pins, pennant flags, and rocks for tee markers.

It features an open, links-style layout with the deep forest at the borders climbing along ridges and hilltops with the tees and greens relatively close together. There are no water hazards, but the 86 sand bunkers strategically located in the fairways and defending the greens providinge the majority of the challenge. There's four sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,357 yards, 70.0/130, course/slope ratings, designed by Rick Smith.
