Umstead Pines Golf Club is north of Durham on the north side of the Eno River within an established, residential community.

The layout is a parkland design with the fairways defined by a mix of narrow and broad, tree lined corridors. There's only a couple of water features, but a generous amount of sand traps and numerous doglegs adding to the character of the golf course. There's four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,442 yards, 70.4/128, course/slope ratings, designed by George Cobb.
