Westwynd is on the north side of Auburn Hills off I-75 at Lapeer Road.

The golf course is a challenging layout with a mix of parkland and links-style holes over a modest change in elevation. It's a strategic routing with blind tee shots and approaches, Gallagher Creek and numerous ponds, cavernous sand bunkers, and contoured, quick and undulating greens. The tips play 6,902 yards, 73.9/143, course/slope ratings, the middle tees are 6,549 yards, 71.6/133, designed by Craig Schreiner in 2002.
