Whitefish is in the Brainerd Lakes Area, approximately two hours north of Minneapolis, halfway between Pequot Lakes and Crosslake, just south of Bertha Lake.

It's a Northwoods layout lumbering through confining fairway corridors of trees and over rolling topography leading to generous greens, most of which are defended by sand bunkers. It plays to 6,470 yards, 71.4/129, course/slope ratings off the back tees with three shorter tees, designed by Don Herfort.
