Widgi Creek is located on the southwest side of Bend in a scenic setting on a ridge above the Deschutes River with views of the Cascades.

The golf course provides a layout winding through tall ponderosa pine, tree lined fairways that feel like chutes at times. It's generally straightforward save for several slight doglegs with water hazards in play on half the holes and sand traps scattered along the fairways defending the modest greens with confounding undulations. It features a par 5 which is 635 yards from the tips and one of the longest in the US. The course is 6,905 yard from the back tees, 73.4/134, course/slope ratings with eight shorter tees, designed by Robert Muir Graves in 1991.
