Bear Slide is about 15 minutes north of the north side of Indianapolis, off US 31 in Cicero.

The front side is flat, open, and more links-like, while the back is parkland style, along tree-lined and hilly fairways in a natural setting, with each hole isolated and unique. Water, either lakes or streams, is in play on 13 holes, and it's well bunkered both along the fairways and greens. It was designed by Dean Refram and plays to 6,998 yards from the tips, 74.1/136 course/slope ratings, and four shorter tee boxes.
