Nakoma Golf Resort is 45 miles north of Truckee in the Graeagle area northwest of Reno.

The Dragon Golf Course is over rolling terrain above the Feather River with endless views of the Sierras and is an extreme test as it traverses narrow, fairway corridors. Many tee-shots require a 200+/- yard drive toward "the safety pole" which provide the the optimum position to approach the modest, undulating, and quick greens defended by sand bunkers. The course plays 7,071 yards from the tips, par of 72, 72.0/139, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, and was designed by Robin Nelson. The clubhouse here was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1924 for a development back east that was never constructed which the developer here purchased the plans and built.
