Whitehawk Ranch Golf Club is located northwest of Reno due north of Truckee in a scenic setting of tall pines.

The course routing is through the Mohawk Valley with a blend of cedar, fir, and aspen tree-lined fairways while other holes move through the open meadows. There are five lakes, several streams, and a moderate use of sand bunkers throughout the landing zones and guarding the greens. The course was designed by Dick Bailey and plays to a total yardage of 6,955, 72.3/132, course/slope with three shorter tees available.
