Plumas Pines is within a resort, residential community off CA 89 on the north side of Blairsden-Graeagle about 1 1/2 hours northwest of Reno.

The golf course is a scenic, parkland layout with a mix of narrow and open, pine tree lined fairways along numerous doglegs on the west side of the Feather River. There's frequent OB in addition to a variety of water hazards and sand bunkers positioned along the fairways and greens. The course was designed by Homer Flint in 1980 playing to a total yardage of 6,421 yards, 71.1/137, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
