Encinitas Ranch is located north of San Diego near La Costa just off the I-5 at Leucadia to the east on a bluff overlooking the Pacific.

The golf course journeys around sandstone bluffs and native vegetation that weaves in and around the fairways bordered by eucalyptus and Torrey Pine trees. There's a couple of water hazards, 60+ sand bunkers, and varying degrees of elevation change providing an entertaining layout with the wind always in play. It was designed by Cary Bickler in 1998 and plays to an overall length of 6,587 yards, 71.4/129, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
