Pinecroft is 30 miles SW of Traverse City off US-31 on the east side of Crystal Lake.

The layout is a minimalist design without disturbing much of the land and moves along broad, tree lined fairways with 50+ sand bunkers and two water hazards and views of Crystal Lake throughout the round. It was designed by Lee Stone, Jim Cole, and Andy Norman, and from the blue tees plays to 6,447 yards with a 70.9/124, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
