River Glen is 30 minutes north of downtown Indianapolis off I-69 at the 116th Street exit to the west.

The golf course partially wanders through a residential community along the lowland on the eastern banks of the White River. The layout is a parkland design traversing tree-lined fairways. Numerous water hazards are incorporated into the course design, along with sand traps at the landing zones and guarding the greens. Gary Kern designed the course in 1990. There are four sets of tees, with the tips playing to 6,847 yards, 72.7/133 course/slope ratings.
