Oak Grove is about 1 1/2 hours from downtown Chicago northwest toward Lake Geneva and the Wisconsin border near Harvard.

It's a challenging layout through an Audubon Signature Sanctuary that requires accuracy off the tee and on approach to the greens. The course is mostly a straightforward parkland layout through tree lined fairways along wetlands and a bevy of sand bunkers with some movement in the land. It plays from 7,021 yards at the championship tees, 75.0/142, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Steve Halberg in the late 1990s.
